Fall Protection is one of OSHA’s Top 10 cited incidents, oftentimes the citations were related to a lack of meeting training requirements. OSHA's Fall Protection Standard was created to help prevent these incidents. The Safety Council of Greater St. Louis’ Fall Protection Compliance Training will help put the regulation into practice, meet training requirements and save lives.

 

Through discussion and activities, our professional facilitator will break down the regulation into terms understandable terms. Learning objectives include practices and procedures that will attain compliance and, best of all, protection for all employees.

 

Prior to the class, we will review specific company needs to ensure focus is provided on the correct restraint systems.

• All elements of OSHA regulations and consensus standards Fall Protection Training (29 CFR 1926.503)

• Fall Protection concepts and terminology including OSHA requirements for certain activities

• Fall Protection Systems and Positioning Device Systems: safety procedures and limitations

• Fall Restraint Systems

• Other hazards that require fall protection

• Protection from falling objects

• Procedures for inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, storing Fall Protection systems

• Safety Monitoring System uses, roles and responsibilities
